We know that not all skin is the same, and it’s important to have a daily routine that’s tailored to you so you can look your best between treatments. Skincare Routine For Dry Skin

When it comes to finding the best skincare routine for dry skin, hydration is a top priority! Because dry skin has invisible cracks, moisture can easily escape through the damaged barrier and the skin can more easily be irritated by dirt and the like as well. People who suffer from dry skin are more prone to having a dull, rough complexion.

The best skincare routine for dry skin is one that uses a mild, non-foaming cleansing lotion. Creams or lotions formulated with emollients like shea butter or glycerin are the best cleansers because they wipe away impurities while moisturising the skin. Follow this with an alcohol-free toner and a potent serum for hydration (rich in antioxidants like vitamin E, A, and C).

Finally, add a hydrating moisturiser with SPF to help your skin retain moisture while staying protected from the sun. For night-time care, include eye cream and a thick moisturiser with botanical oils into your skincare routine. This will provide you with the ultimate hydration to help your skin repair as you sleep.

Indulge in gentle exfoliants once a week but stay away from rough-textured face scrubs.

Skincare Routine For Oily Skin

Oily skin types have larger oil glands and therefore produce more sebum content. Without a regular skincare routine in place, it can be very easy to get clogged pores and breakouts on oil-prone skin. The best way to lessen oil production and treat this skin type is to keep the skin lightly hydrated throughout the day.

Use a sulfate-free cleansing gel to remove bacteria without drying out the skin, (which can lead to more sebum production and breakouts). After cleansing, continue with a toner. The best toner for oily skin is one that is alcohol-free and features ingredients like witch-hazel (a natural astringent), geranium (great for cutting oil), or sodium PCA (a humectant which helps your skin stay moisturised). Following this step, you can use serums of your choice, particularly ones with alpha-hydroxy acids or beta-hydroxy acids, as they brighten dullness in the skin and help to reduce the appearance of pores. Follow with a light oil-free moisturiser and always remember to use sunscreen.

For a little indulgence, using a gentle mask, or chemical peel once a week is an excellent way to deep clean pores and brighten your complexion.

Skincare Routine For Combination Skin

Because combination skin is both dry and oily, the best skincare to treat this skin type is one that features products that address a range of skin concerns. When finding a skincare routine for combination skin, there is often more experimentation involved before you can find a routine that works for your skin.

However, as a general guideline for combination skin, it’s best to start with a cleansing gel or oil, but if this feels too drying on your skin, swap it for a cleansing lotion instead.  Follow this with an alcohol-free toner and a lightweight moisturiser featuring hyaluronic acid. If you want to add a serum into your morning routine, we recommend one with AHA/BHA which minimises pores and brightens the skin.

If your skin thirsting for some love, care, and rejuvenation, we recommend trying our platelet-rich plasma therapy as it helps accelerate the body’s natural ability to heal.

Skincare Routine For Sensitive Skin

Because sensitive skin is easily irritated, the best skincare routine is one that uses gentle, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic products. Sensitive skin isn’t necessarily acne-prone, rather it is more prone to red patches caused by irritation.

If you have sensitive skin, we recommend using a sulfate-free cleansing lotion and an alcohol-free toner featuring green tea or chamomile as they are anti-inflammatory ingredients. Follow this step with a moisturiser that is fragrance-free and then apply a mineral-based sunscreen to finish!

For inflamed and irritated skin, we recommend trying a gel-based mask that has naturally cooling and hydrating properties, perfect for easing irritation and providing relief!

Give It Time

Before you start any new care routine, keep in mind that when it comes to skincare, there’s no such thing as a quick fix. Finding the right skincare regime that works for you can take time. The best way to see if a product is right for your skin is to be patient and use it consistently over a six-week timeframe, then you will be able to see and feel the results fully.

Consult With Your Skincare Specialist Before Changing Your Care Routine
